Audio Visual Ministry
The Audio Visual Ministry was formed on March 29, 2020 due to COVID-19. Sister
Tammy Smith acted as our Ministry Leader and Sister Donchelle Jackson assisted her.
Since the ministry didn’t have an official leader when the group (Tammy Smith, Tyrone Williams, Donchelle Jackson, Jayson Walker, and Quintin Shula, Pamela Smith) met with Pastor Frazier on May 10, 2021 he asked who was interested in becoming the ministry leader and Brother Tyrone Williams committed to lead us. The Audio Visual Ministry works in conjunction with the Website Ministry, and the Announcement Team.
Due to COVID-19 we had our first Live Stream Worship Service in the sanctuary on March 29, 2020 via Facebook with only a few members in attendance. We continued to have services on Sunday, April 5, 2020 and Wednesday, April 8, 2020.
The COVID-19 numbers continued to rise so on April 12, 2020 we celebrated Resurrection Sunday with our first Drive-In Worship Service at 7:30 a.m. in the parking lot. We continued Drive-in Worship Service from April 12, 2020 to December 27, 2020. During this time period we had a total of thirty-eight (38) services outside regardless of the weather (rain, cold, hot, hurricane(s), etc.), and each of these services were Live Streamed on Facebook and uploaded to our YouTube channel. A great big thank you to our Pastor for preaching Sunday after Sunday in all types of weather, he truly leads by example. This total does not include Noon Day Worship Services which we started on April 8, 2020 and ended on December 30, 2020 for a total of thirty-nine (39) services streamed on Facebook Live. During this time we averaged over 800 views on Sundays and 200 on Wednesdays. We did have other services and or events that are not included in these totals.
We continued outside for another seven (7) months making our outside worship service stay a total of one year and four months. We went back into the sanctuary on August 1, 2021 and also had our first baptismal since two and a half years ago.
The A/V Ministry continues to move forward under the leadership of Brother Tyrone Williams and the assistance of Sister Tammy Smith. In an effort to give our members and those visiting us on line the best worship experience possible via our Website, Facebook page, and YouTube channel the church purchased new software (vMix) in August 2021, three cameras, and two projectors that are housed in the sanctuary.
On March 26, 2023 we rolled out our Lane Talk Announcements which is our voice over announcements created by our young adults from the Announcement Team. Anyone wishing to have their announcements on Lane Talk must have them turned in to Sister Nelda Battles our Church Secretary by Wednesday at 5p.m. before the Sunday needed.
