Ministries

The operational ministries utilized to fulfill the Mission of the global RMBC Evangelism Ministry are:

• Street Ministry – This is our primary means of sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ beyond the walls of the Church. Regular Outings are conducted within our Primary Field of Harvest. At least once per month, if not more frequently, we will set up at a base location and walk within the defined boundaries sharing the Good News.

• Strickland Youth Center (SYC) – RMBC has been a committed partner with Strickland Youth Center for over 25 years. On at least a Monthly basis, our team visits SYC and spend one hour with the boys and one hour with the girls, encouraging and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  

• Mobile Gospel Fest – Through the collective efforts of several churches, the month of October has been designated as a time for multiple back-to-back Gospel Fests to reach the masses. The history of the Mobile Gospel Fest began in 2006, when Pastor David Frazier, Sr., asked the Community Involvement President, Rev. Lawrence Battiste III, to put together an Expo involving the church and the community. Rev. Battiste asked Brother Julius Avery and his wife to help coordinate this event. On Saturday, October 13, 2007, the first Maysville Gospel Fest was held. To help get support and participation, the month of October was chosen to coincide with the National Layman Month plus the weather is normally good during this time of year. Each year, since then a new area has been added to the Gospel Fest consisting of local churches in those areas. In 2017, there were six (6) areas participating. They were Maysville, Down-the-Bay, MLK/’D’ Avenue, Prichard, West Mobile, and Saraland Churches.

• Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) – RMBC Evangelism Ministry has committed to sponsoring and providing volunteers to serve in leadership and as teachers within After-School Good News Clubs. We have been involved in this operational ministry since 2010.

• Follow-up / Phone Ministry – Following up with brothers and sisters who have recently accepted Christ via the intervention of the Evangelism Team, has been an informal part of our Evangelism Ministry since its inception. However, in 2025, this operational ministry was formally structured and established. The members of this team are tasked with following up with new converts and encouraging them in their growth in the Lord.

• Evangelism Teaching Ministry – In an effort to primarily ensure that the members of Revelation Missionary Baptist Church are equipped with the training to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ, we have our Teaching Ministry. In addition to equipping RMBC members to share the Gospel, our teachers also train new Certified Teachers who may or may not be a member of Revelation Missionary Baptist Church.
